How to get to Milan?

Milan is the biggest city in northern Italy and the capital of Lombardy. It is also well connected to the main cities of Europe and the rest of the world. Milan is easily accessible by plane, train, bus or car.

MILAN AIRPORT - MALPENSA (MXP): This is the most important and busiest airport in Milan, being the second busiest airport in Italy, located 40 km from the city center. The Malpensa Airport has two terminals separated from each other and connected by a free bus that operates every 7 minutes.
train: There are two train lines that connect the airport with the center of Milan with frequencies every 15 minutes. The MALPENSA EXPRESS service connects the Malpensa Airport (Terminal 1 and 2) with the Milan Central Station. This service runs from 4:27 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. with a stop at the "Porta Garibaldi" station for connections with the Milan Metro lines. The other line connects the Malpensa Airport with the "Milan-Cadorna" station, in the old part of the capital of Lombardy next to the Sforzesco Castle.
bus: This service connects the Malpensa Airport (Terminal 1 and 2) with the Milan Central Station, has frequencies every 20 minutes and the journey time is almost one hour. Buses depart from the Malpensa Airport from 6:00 a.m. to 00:30 a.m. and from the Milan Central Station from 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

MILAN AIRPORT - LINATE (LIN): This is the most central airport in the city, it is only 8 km from Milan and is mainly used for domestic and short distance flights.
Urban bus: This service connects the Linate Airport with the San Babila metro station. Line 73 runs every 10 minutes and line X73 runs every 20 minutes from 6:05 a.m. to 00:40 a.m.
Other buses:
Starfly: This service stops at the Lambrate and the Central Station with a journey of 25 minutes and runs from 6:10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. during the weekend.
Air Bus: This service connects the Linate Airport with the Central Station making an intermediate stop at the Dateo Square. This service runs from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. with a 25 minutes ride.

BERGAMO AIRPORT - ORIO AL SERIO (BGY): This airport is located 45 km from Milan and has become the preferred airport for most low cost airlines.
Autostradale Bus - Terravision: This service connects the Bergamo Airport with the Milan Central Station, the journey time is 60 minutes. This service runs from 4:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. with frequencies every 25 minutes.
Orio Shuttle Bus: This service connects the Bergamo Airport with the Milan Central Station, the journey time is 60 minutes. This service runs from 3:00 a.m. to 00:00 a.m. with frequencies every 25 minutes.
